Safe and Sound at Seminary

Just wanted you to know that I arrived safely in Columbia, SC, very, very early yesterday (Monday) morning.  My class on "The Biblical Foundations of Leadership" got off to a good start, though it was difficult to stay awake (that was no fault of my professor, Dr. Roy King.)  Harvey and Heidi Payne are quite generous in their hospitality, and it's a joy for me to be with them.  Thanks for praying for me while I traveled and please do so while I study here at Columbia International University in the Palmetto State.

Jim Martin had a lot of guts to write this post about children-controlled families.  Many of us know whereof he speaks.

According to Scot McKnight, the public has spoken: it's officially okay to say "Merry Christmas" at the store.

This looks like an interesting exhibit right in our backyard (almost)..."In the Beginning: Bible Before the Year 1000" at the Smithsonian's Freer Gallery of Art/Arthur M. Sackler Gallery in Washington, D.C.  I'll have to get down there and see it over the holidays and maybe drag along a few friends and family.  Here's the link to the Museum's official description of the exhibition.

Thunderstorm Over the Parthenon
